Mecar Metal Inc. takes the protection of your privacy very seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Bill 25, Quebec).

Exceptions: Professional titles, business addresses and business telephone numbers in the course of employment are not considered personal information under Bill 25.
We strive to keep your information accurate, complete, and up-to-date. We may ask you to provide us with updates as needed, but we also take reasonable steps to verify and correct information when necessary.

We would like to point out that, in these cases, the legal basis justifying the collection or use will be documented.
It is important that the personal information we hold is accurate, complete and upto-date, according to the purposes for which it is intended. We ensure that the personal information we use on an ongoing basis, including information we disclose to third parties, is as accurate and up-to-date as possible, unless there are clearly established limits on its accuracy. except as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. The accuracy, currency and completeness of personal information depends on how you enter your data when you provide your consent to its collection.

The Privacy Officer (PPO) oversees the implementation of this policy and ensures compliance with Bill 25.
We generally collect personal information to verify an individual’s identity, create an employee record, or comply with legal requirements (some information is necessary for tax purposes). We only collect, use and disclose your personal information for the purposes we have indicated to you. Only certain authorized individuals may access your personal information, and only for the purpose of their assigned duties.
If your information is transferred to third parties located outside of Quebec or Canada, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with Bill 25.
